Mubashir K Tahir is an urban planner and architect based in Dubai. He designs cities. And he is building the infrastructure that takes them into the air. Founder of Designex, a Dubai based practice dedicated to sustainable urban planning, architecture, and interior design. Holding a master’s in urban planning from the University of Birmingham Dubai, and one of the few dedicated urban planners working in this city, he has spent his career creating environments that are functional, resilient, and built to last. Founder and CEO of Urbanex Mobility, where he is pioneering Urban Air Mobility infrastructure in Dubai and across the GCC. That means vertiports: the certified ground systems that make commercial air taxis real. Landing pads, passenger terminals, high-density charging infrastructure, airspace integration. The complete physical layer that connects eVTOL aircraft to the urban environment below them. Dubai is the most prepared city in the world for this transition. He is building the infrastructure that meets it.
